We Need You to Help "Keep It Spiritual and Make It Fun!"

How can you help this wonderful camp continue to do its important work with young people?  Please take a moment to see if there is some way that you, too, can become involved with this great work.

* Make a contribution

Camp Lu-Jo KISMIF is a private, non-profit organization, so its  entire operation must be privately funded.

Camp is currently seeking funding for the 2007 "Cool It" Project, which will provide air conditioning to both the new boys dorm and the new cafeteria.  We are also continuing to seek funds to pay for the new dining hall and new dorm which were constructed in 2004.

Camp Lu-Jo is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization, so  contributions are both tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.  For more information, please contact us or email camplujo@yahoo.com

* Donate an Item on Camp Lu-Jo's Need List

Here's what Camp is in need of at the moment:

    * Riding lawnmower - we have a lot of acres to mow and need a riding lawnmower to help with this.
    * 16 foot flat bed trailer - we have a lot things to move and change around;  we need one in good condition that we can use to haul things.
    * Tractor with front-end loader - there is a lot of work that needs to be done around camp in which we could use a tractor with a front-end loader.  Remember, we have 70 acres and there are lots of things to be done to open camp and keep it going.

Small gifts make a difference, too . . .

    * Plastic cups - the kind you get at football games, or pizza places.  Most people take them home, stack them up and have more than they can use.  We can use them - they are washable.
    * Old stainless steel silverware - many times people have old stainless steel silverware that they do not use or they have inherited or picked up at a garage sale.  We can use them.
    * Pots and pans - we mean BIG pots and pans, not little ones.  Our cooks are cooking for hundreds, so it takes big ones.

You may give these to any board member, or drop them off at the the Chisholm Church of Christ in Duncan, OK, the Sullivan Village Church of Christ in Lawton, OK.   If you have any questions about whether or not Lu-Jo could use something that you have to offer, please e-mail the us at: camplujo@yahoo.com

* Buy a brick

We would like to urge every friend of Camp Lu-Jo to buy a brick or several bricks.   These bricks will have your name inscribed on them.  They are being used to make much needed side walks at camp.  The first of these walks is complete between the girls' dorm and the halfway house.

The bricks cost $30.00 each;  they are special bricks that cost $5.00 each to make, with the remaining $25.00 going toward improvements at Camp Lu-Jo.  Your name will be sandblasted on the brick and it will be set in place on one of the walks under construction around the camp.

You are not limited to one brick;  you may purchase as many as you like and have a different name on each one.  Some have had their name, their children's names and their grandchildren's names put on bricks.  Think about how much it would mean to your children and grandchildren to come to Camp Lu-Jo and find their name there!
